JHMG Posted April 28 Posted April 28 When full-screen, sometimes the File menu becomes attached to the top left of the screen and cannot be closed easily. The workaround is to un-maximize Publisher, then click the File menu twice. Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I'm a bit confused by that screenshot. Was it taken while Publisher was supposedly maximized? If so there seems to be a lot of screen around the app that I wouldn't expect to see. emmrecs01 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. JHMG Posted April 28 Author Posted April 28 Sorry, I wasn't completely clear. The screenshot is after the File menu gets stuck anchored top-left, and after un-maximizing Publisher and dragging it down/right. That brings the menu bar back into view, at which point the following happens: The first click on the menu bar "File" option does nothing. The menu seemed to flicker quickly, so I assume it was repainting the menu where it is in the screenshot, anchored to the top left of the screen The second click on the "File" closes the menu, restoring normal operation. walt.farrell 1 Quote
Staff NathanC Posted May 8 Staff Posted May 8 Hi @JHMG, I don't believe I've previously encountered the file menu getting stuck off-screen like what's shown in your screenshot when the window is maximised. Is this entirely random or can you identify a specific process/steps that causes it to get stuck like this? Do you have a multi-display setup, and if so what is the arrangement? Thanks Quote
JHMG Posted May 8 Author Posted May 8 I can't make this happen deliberately, and don't know what causes it. I have a 2-monitor setup with Dell 2560x1440 displays (27" and 25"). When it does happen, the menu is anchored at the top left of the screen in which Publisher is displayed, detached from the Publisher window itself. Quote
David DM Posted May 25 Posted May 25 I’m experiencing the same issue. Appears to be random. Thanks for the workaround. Quote
