Hi All,

Whenever I use the Pen tool, I would like the default setting to be a stroke in the Fill section - currently it defaults to Fill. Please could someone explain how I can do this?

Many thanks!

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I think that what he means is that by default, when using the pen tool, it's set with a white color fill by default, or the last fill color used. That bugs me too.

The default in previous versions was "no fill" so you could trace around something without hiding it. Now you have to go select "no fill" in the color panell. Just one useless step.

You can easily set the default to be no fill by setting a curve (make one with the Pen tool) and choose the fill (no fill) adn then go to Edit > Defaults > Synchronize from Selection and then immediately go to Defaults > Edit > Save. Now for all subsequent new work with the pen tool it will have the fill and stroke that you set up. Make sure that the two little icons for Use Line Style and Use Fill on the Context toolbar are set to On.
