In Affinity Publisher, how can I prevent picture frames from changing tint or tone or shade of the frame when changing the tint or tone of the underlying image or adjusting the underlying image in other ways?

I have multiple picture frames on a book cover, and the frames have different shades of the same colour after I treat the underlying images. All the frames should be the exact same colour and shade/tint/tone.

Can this alteration of the picture frame be prevented? If so, how?

The term "other ways" covers a lot of ground, there are several methods to recolour an "underlying image". The advice on how to keep the frames's colour constant while changing the image's colour will depend on which method you are using.

Simply put, a few methods will work if you use the layers panel to expand the frame and then you can select the image in the layers panel and apply a colour change to it, not the two together.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

That's it, @Old Bruce It worked like a charm! Thanks a million!
