I need to insert a "wildcard" character for a text search. Basically I need to search for the character "." followed by a character attached, such as: .S, .b, .D, etc.
How can I perform the search?

I would use Publisher's Find and Replace with the Grep option and then use the following Find term

(\.)([a-zA-Z])

and the following Replace term to remove the "." and retain the S, b, D, etc.

\2

or use the following Replace term to insert a space between the "." and the letter.

\1 \2

That has a space between the \1 and the \2
