Sofie R Posted April 25 Posted April 25 (edited) Hi, I was working on a large project in Affinity. At the same time, I wanted to open another document. However, I wasn’t able to open it (I couldn’t click on the document). While I was briefly doing something else and Affinity was still open in the project overview, the 'new document' opened inside my large project file. It seems like the new document has overwritten my large project file. The history is empty. What happened, and how can I recover my large project file? Could someone help me with this issue? Staff NathanC Posted April 29 Staff Posted April 29 Welcome to the forums @Sofie R, Sorry to hear that. At any stage, was the larger project file you had open saved externally to your iPad storage or a Cloud storage service such as iCloud? (Both locations are accessible via the Files app). If the file was saved, you should be able to reopen the document and continue from the last save point. If the file wasn't saved and was kept in the 'Live Docs' sandbox, regretfully we don't have many options we can advise on since the app doesn't internally back up files in the sandbox. Moving forward It's generally recommended to regularly save files you're working on to external locations via the live docs screen. Quote
