I get the following error message more frequently since the new photo beta.

A problem occurred when starting the app.

The other apps are not accessible

Make sure the app is up-to-date, and your firewall is not blocking your LAN connection.

This message only displays the beta version, no bug report is created.

Cheers

Hello @EmT,

Yes, the problem persists, but not every time you start. The firewall doesn't block Affinity apps.

Cheers

Do you have the other Affinity beta apps installed?

I thought your issue was due to Norton 360?

You may very well be correct in assuming it could be Norton 360. I really have no idea. What I can say is that I keep Norton very well updated and does not give me any trouble with other software.

It is like it is searching to recognize and validate Affinity Photo. Never had this with earlier versions of Affinity.

I don't know if this is related, but FWIW when I installed the 2.6.3 updates (MSI/EXE) Norton 360 wouldn't let me install them at first, it did some checks, then I had to tell it to allow the installs. I've never had this happen before, and I don't know if it's down to an update of Norton, or something different in these Affinity updates to previous ones. I also got a warning from Norton when I first opened a file in APhoto, but it only happened that first time and has been OK since.

Hello @EmT,

Yes, I have all three apps installed, and they have the same build (2.6.3.3322).

In the customer version, this message has not popped up so far. (2.6.3.3322).

I should mention that I installed the MSI/EXE(x64)

Cheers
