Selecting document "Units" closes the program.

After I open a PDF document, click on "Document Setup," select the "Document" tab, then "Document Units," and choose a measurement unit different from the one it opens with, the program immediately shuts down.

Is there a setting or something else I'm missing to prevent this from happening? OR ... Is there a way to set the preferred "Units" to automatically open with the program?

Hi @RixPix and welcome to the forums.

You cannot set the default measurement units for new documents. I don't know why changing the measurement units would cause the app to crash but it may be something else in Document Setup that is being applied not specifically the units. Regardless, for a workaround, try this:

1. Create a new document of the same width and height with the measurement units you want
2. Choose Document > Add Pages from File

This should allow you to add the pages from the PDF to a document with the desired measurement units. If this crashes, too, then try adding one page at a time, or a few pages at a time, and saving after each page or group of pages. It might be just one page that is an issue.
