amoraleite Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Guys I found something strange. When I type a text it comes with a white background. No matter what I do I can't remove this white background. What I've already done: • I restarted the program and the computer. • I opened a new file and this problem doesn't appear. • I copied a text from another Photo file without this background and it comes correctly. The problem happens in this file and when I create a new text. Could the file be corrupted or something? Quote
GarryP Posted April 24 Posted April 24 If this is what it usually is, it’s not regarded by Serif as a bug, as such, but it does catch quite a few people out. You can reset the background back to None by selecting the text layer and using the “Revert Defaults” button on the Toolbar (this reverts the whole layer back to the default settings for that type of layer). amoraleite 1 Quote
amoraleite Posted April 24 Author Posted April 24 HI! It's a bit strange that it's not a bug since it's a behavior that is not a default and was not configured by me. anyway! I didn't find this button that you indicated. “Revert Defaults” To align I'm using Affinity Photo for Mac. Could you send me a screenshot of this button, I would be very grateful! Quote
GarryP Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I’m not entirely sure of all of the rules about this, but when you create a new layer, the new layer is normally formatted the same way as the last layer you created/modified, or as was ‘caused to be formatted’, or something like that, I can never remember which way round it goes or when the rules are applied. I’ve seen this catch a lot of people out and I’m not entirely convinced that it’s always working the way it should be (from a user point of view) because some people have seen it happen under circumstances where I wouldn’t, at first glance, expect it to happen. Anyway, I’ve attached a screen-grab where you can see the button I’m talking about. amoraleite 1 Quote
