Using inline image as a bullet for the list

So I wanted to use a custom shape for my bullet list. I manage to insert it into the bullet text, but when I start next line, the image in the previous one disappears. How do I make it work as a standard bullet? For some reason it won't copy in, but instead reuses it

It's working for me when I edit a text style - all paragraphs formatted with that style are updated with my custom bullet. Could you please share a screen recording of the issue happening because perhaps I'm not doing it the same way as you.

I believe the issue is that my custom bullet is an inline image (by the way, now it won't even appear once, just blinks)

You can't use images as bullets in Affinity. I'm surprised you can paste one into the text field on Windows, that doesn't work on macOS.

I'm actually on macOS 😅 and for this to work you need to copy not the image, but select it as a text, copy and paste. Try it
