Assets menu crashing/lagging Affinity Designer and photoshop

What can I say? I love the assets menu..I hate the assets menu.. If you've noticed, it's laggy, or it's crashed on you. My best practice after years of this apparently unfixable issue is to create an artboard to organize all the similar elements you will want to use in a given file. Put those elements on the same Artboard name and LOCK that Artboard. and then save the entire artboard to the assets menu rather than save the individual elements.. This way, when you're ready to use it, you just drag the named locked artboard onto your document. Copy, cut and paste or drag onto any other artboard within that file. Do not forget to export from the main menu in the assert hamburger to back those files up.

There is a known issue currently logged with the developers relating to lagging/hanging problems when working with larger asset categories on Windows, I've updated the existing issue and bumped it with your report, we'll hopefully see this panel's performance improved in the future.
