Language support

Hello!

How can I get a support for languages like Greek?

I tried to get an data into C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher/el/el_gr_v110.oxt for Greek, but it seems not to work.

Any ideas?

If you mean support for Greek used as text within a document the FAQ below will show you how to add dictionaries.

But if you mean support for Greek in the User Interface of the application, you can't change the available languages for that. Your only choices are the ones listed at the bottom of the General section of the application Settings.

Hello!
Thank you very much for your kind attempt to help me!
I'm slowly getting desperate trying to install the Hunspell dictionaries and enable spell checking. It just doesn't seem to work in Publisher. No matter what I do, the language is not recognized and everything is underlined in red.
There is also no option to select a language in the "Text" menu.

I really hope that Affinity will change this user-unfriendly design.

You select the language in the Language section of the Character panel, or in a similar fields in Character Text Style, or in a Paragraph Text Style.

If you follow the instructions in that FAQ carefully, they should work. You might give us screenshots showing what you've done and we may be able to help further from that.
