Purchased some LUTS online from Etsy. These won’t import into photo version 2.62. Strangely enough, they load perfectly on version 1. They also load on my PC running version 1. I’m guessing there’s nothing wrong with the files, just the app.

LUTs are plain text files. Open them with any text editor and check their type.

can you import luts created / exported by Photo?

I use iPad screenshots and videos even in the Desktop section of the forum when I expect no relevant difference.

How are you trying to import them? (Please provide as much detail as you can, and possibly screenshots.)

What are the file types (extensions) of the files?

Thanks for the reply. The files have a .cube extension and something I discovered since I wrote this, is that they will import into photo version 1 on my iPad, and my windows desktop. Just not 2.62. I created the category, and then chose import Luts within that category, and nothing happens. No error, no file.

Hi @kdparnell,

This is a known issue with LUTS failing to import that's currently logged with the developers, I've bumped the existing issue with your report.

Potential workaround: Copy the .CUBE files in the 'Affinity Photo' default app library folder in 'On my iPad' which is accessible via the Files app, and then try importing again from this directory.

Thank you for the suggestion. That worked. I did have a correspondence with the author of the Luts on Etsy, and he said they were intended for video use, but since they had the cube extension I figured they would be okay. Thanks everyone for your assistance.
