mattoftheinternets Posted April 22 Posted April 22 What Application are you using? -> Photo Are you using the latest release version? -> Yes 2.6.2 Can you reproduce it? -> Yes (see attachment) Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? -> It occurs after the app has been closed, but a new shortcut will continue to work as long as the app remains open. Additional Details OS & Version: Sonoma 14.6.1 Hardware acceleration enabled What happened for you (and what you expected to happen) -> I removed the shortcut for the gradient tool since I prefer the fill bucket to be the first option when hitting G. After relaunching the app the tool shortcuts appeared to have reset to their defaults. Nothing worked to ensure the shortcut was remembered across sessions. (removing, replacing, switching to a diff letter, saving the shortcuts to a file, etc.) Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did). -> Open settings, navigate to shortcuts, remove the shortcut for the gradient tool, close settings. -> Create a new document, hit G, confirm fill bucket is selected. -> Close the app and restart it. Attempt to Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video. -> Attached Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers. -> None, using apple internal keyboard on a 16" MBP M2 Max Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware) -> No, since first switching to the app under a year ago the issue has been the same. I thought the issue was already being addressed based on forum posts. But it's still happening even in 2.6.2 CleanShot-20250422-000059.mp4 Quote
Staff NathanC Posted April 24 Staff Posted April 24 Welcome to the forums @mattoftheinternets, Can confirm I've replicated your issue, so I'll be logging this with the developers, many thanks for your detailed report. It appears to work in reverse (Keeping Gradient tool on G, deleting the shortcut for Flood Fill) So I wonder if it may be to do with the incorrect double entry of the shortcut in the list. Quote
