Dutch-Pavlo Posted April 20 Posted April 20 in Programms like XnView the installed Phtot 2 exe can't be set for the 'Open by' function (Öffnen mit). After you select the exe: it loses the connection because windows don't allow the system owner to work with it. Please tell me how to move install the software in a normal directory. Quote
PaulEC Posted April 20 Posted April 20 It looks like you've installed the MSIX version of Affinity Photo. I believe there are some (complicated) ways to allow third party apps to access the .exe file in the WindowsApps folder, but by far the easiest way to do what you want is to use the MSI/EXE version of Affinity Photo instead. Install that, transfer anything you need from your current installation, then delete the MSIX version. There have been several discussions about this in the forums if you need more information! N.B. This isn't a bug, it's how Windows works! No transfer will be needed. If the MSIX is installed, and after that the MSI/EXE version is installed, it will automatically pick up everything from the MSIX version. (The same is not true if the MSI/EXE is installed first, and then the MSIX is installed. In that situation they will not share brushes, assets, etc. But as long as you're replacing the MSIX with the MSI/EXE everything is automatic.)
