M4 not seen as Apple Silicon

I am running a Brand New Macbook Air M4 32gb Ram and 512 HD.  When I try to open the selection tool.   I get the following message as attached.

OS 15.4.1 Sequoia.

What would cause this?

Hi @BigSKYAstro and welcome to the forums.

The cause for this is usually that you're running Affinity with Rosetta, probably due to an old plug in.

With Finder, go to Applications and right-click the Affinity app icon. Choose Get Info. Deselect "Open Using Rosetta" and then start Affinity. It should work now.
