Michael Laing Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Gooday! I need a bit of guidance in formatting 200 page book. In the beginning all was good, now I'm at pg. 160 and text is flowing erratically.... Finished pages disapppear then reappear displaying only one line of text in the middle of the page, or text has an uncontrollable mind of it's own. Any thoughts? I'd appreciate. Ty Quote
GarryP Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Welcome to the forums @Michael Laing Can you supply the document so we can experiment with it? If you don’t want to (or can’t) supply it in public then you can request a dropbox link so you can share it with a member of staff privately. If you can upload some full-screen (whole application UI) screen-shots where we can see the problem, along with the Layers Panel where a problem layer is selected, along with the Text Frame Panel and Context Toolbar, then we can try and see what’s happening. In the screenshots, make sure that we can see Special Characters by using menu “Text → Show Special Characters” switched ON. Otherwise the number of possibilities with this sort of thing can be too large for any certainty of diagnosis. The more details we have the better we can (hopefully) help. Quote

You have at least one Paragraph Style that has keep Paragraph together or keep with previous or keep with next 1 (or more) lines or some such combination. These settings can be inherited and worse they can be set for the [No Style] which is the setting for all Text Styles. As @GarryP requested we would be able to zero in if we had the document. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
