Using Affinity Designer on a MacBook pro, I am using the Pen tool and the artistic text tool, and  have created a line of text that flows with the shape of the pen line.  No problem there.  But I cannot figure out how to make it scalable?!?! I Have clicked every "scale with object" box that I can find, but no matter what, when i group all the objects together and scale, the text begins to wrap due to not scaling.   I would like to be able to scale and use the vector at different sizes.....  Any suggestions and help is GREATLY appreciated!

I think the only way is duplicate it, then convert the copy to curves. This will remove the line, but create a group of vectors from text. This can be scaled regularly

As alternative, you might use a regular artistic text, and a mesh warp group.
I child nested all layer types to a rectangle and used constraints to auto-resize child layers.
warp groups of text get scaled.

text on path don’t

Thanks for that answer! I have never done that.  Just to be clear, duplicate the entire project, and convert the entire copied project to curves, and this makes it scaleable?!  I will try this!! Thanks again.

Another one how to convert to curves

Just an FYI, when I also discovered that by simply rasterizing the Artistic text that was not scaling, it solved that problem in that one step! I don't know if this causes any other disadvantages down the road, as I still don't completely understand what all rasterizing does, but the design remains editable in all the ways that I would be using at this point.

Rasterizing is ok if the design stays in that size, and you want export to e.g jpeg or png. In case you want to scale it, the result gets blurry, unless you scale it exactly by integer multiples (2x, 3x, …) and identical  in both axis. It is no longer editable in the same way (vector) once rasterized. Laser cutters won’t be able to process the files.

Curve Path Text can be scaled without first converting it to another form.

One solution is to use the extra handle that is just outside the bottom-right corner of the bounding box of any selection that includes Curve Path Text or Shape Text or Frame Text.

Another is the "scale with object" option for Text Frames in the Scale Override controls in the Transform Panel. Enabling that will enable you to scale the text with any handle when the aspect ratio is maintained
