Deleting artboard makes everything vanish

I don't know if it is a bug or not, but I cannot figure out how to use artboards. When i make one alongside of other work

and delete it, all my work disappears. I can't find any comprehensive instruction about it.

Try selecting the objects in the Layers panel – they’re still there. If you draw a new artboard, they’ll become visible again. Serif will have to clarify whether this is a bug, an unconsidered scenario, or something else.

By the way, I’ve noticed that if you select the artboard (in the layers panel) and press DELETE, you’re prompted with a confirmation like the one below. But if you use the context menu like you did, it deletes it immediately.

right, I found that out. it's pretty bizarre to me.

You can also go to View -> View Mode and turn off "Clip to Canvas". That's what's happening.
