Indranil Sen Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I recreated this text-and-image interlocking design using Affinity Photo. I attempted it for the first time when I was a Photoshop user. Now, I have given it a shot using Affinity Photo. Please let me have your valuable feedback. NotMyFault 1 Quote
carl123 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Compared to the other examples of this design found online (like the one below) yours look different. Was this intentional? Your letters appear to be cutting into the leaves unnaturally The examples online show some leaves on top of the letters covering part of them. Which is achievable by copying the leaves you want (to be on top of the letters) and placing them above the Letter Layer in the Layers panel. Not sure if were trying to recreate the online examples or trying to do something completely different? If the letters are behaving like knives cutting into the leaves, those edges should be sharp. Indranil Sen Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 Thank you guys for your feedback. This was an assignment that I did as part of my Photoshop online class earlier. I recreated it in Affinity Photo in my own way. It just happened to be. I looked at the design provided by you. If you look at mine, I intentionally brightened up the leaves in the foreground. Also, chose a somewhat fluorescent font color other than white. I recreated this in my own way. 😊 Alfred 1 Quote

wonderings Posted April 22 Posted April 22 While it might be "your way" the suggestions are good ones and would actually make the image make more sense visually to the eye. As I see it it looks like you simply ran an eraser through the text. The sample image put up by Carl has the font look like it is actually interacting with the foliage. Again yours looks like it is just on top and has been erased in random areas. The style again illustrated by Carl is a commonly used one and would be worth looking into with your work. Quote
