A few weeks ago I noticed for the first time that my assets database (Designer) was no longer saved in the programm. I uploaded it again - several times now!! As soon as I shut down or restart my Mac, I also have to upload the database.
Today I realized that all the templates were missing from the publisher and I had to import them again.

There is also another bug, that I have to handle: when I draw the figures in Designer and then mirror (I hope this is the correct word) it, the PDF sometimes is not correct. The colors changed and turn around but only in the PDF, in the programm I can see it how it should be. So one of my clients got now a black pawed cat in his flyer instead of a white paw with a black outline.

Another bug that hit me yesterday is, that a color area with bleed wasn't written correct in the PDF. The bleed wasn't taken over even though I had activated it. I solved the problem by adding a white area as a background and used this as a clipping mask.
I am using PDF/X 1a:2003 the most.

As I mentioned in your previous post, different issues should be posted in separate threads.

However, for the first issue, how did you install the software?

Did you install it properly, or are you running the software from the disk image which you downloaded?

Sorry, I think I need some caffeine ... I will split the post.

I am not sure how I installed the software a few years ago. I am working with affinity since 4 or 5 years.

Thanks; that will help to keep things organised and make it easier to follow the discussion for each.

Can you show us a screenshot where we can see where you launch the application from? (In other words, what do you click/double-click to start the application running, and where is it?)

Thanks for the screenshot.

It looks to me like you have installed the software correctly.

Can you tell us what you mean by “upload” in your problem description? Uploading usually means copying/transferring from an external location, such as ‘upload from a web site’.

By “upload the database”, do you mean that you are importing an AFASSETS file into Designer, or something else?

You also mention “templates”. Are you referring to the same thing as above, or the Templates which you see in the New Document dialog, or something else?

Thanks for making that clear.

I have a feeling that something might have become corrupted in your application installation.

Did you update the application recently?

If so, it could, possibly, maybe have caused the same problem as was mentioned here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/228546-i-installed-the-latest-update-and-now-all-of-my-assets-are-gone-i-tried-to-reinstall-them-but-when-i-click-on-the-3-bars-to-import-assets-no-option-to-importexport-is-available-help/

There are some possible solutions listed there but if none of them work then you’ll need to wait for someone with more macOS experience than me to help further.

(A full uninstall and then re-install might be a quicker/easier solution if you don’t want to ‘delve into the guts’ of the installed application.)
