After updating 2.6 the image layers are displayed incorrectly. When the image is zoomed out everything seems ok, after zooming in the image layers are displayed incorrectly. Rasterizing the layers did not help. The files were created before update.

Welcome to the forums @Gherik

It tool me a while to notice what I think you mean by “displayed incorrectly”.

For example, the lines which make up the ‘cell door bars’ look thicker, and there’s less detail in the ‘shed’ to the side of it.

When telling us that there’s a problem it’s best to be as specific as you can so they we don’t have to hunt for it or guess. You know exactly what you mean but, in many cases, it’s the first time we have seen what you are working on, and we might not know what you want to achieve, so it might be difficult for us to know what’s wrong.

Off the top of my head I can’t think of what might be wrong as I don’t have enough information from your screen-grabs.

I suspect that it could be something to do with the Blend Mode of the “Image.bmp” layer, or maybe an Effect or something on the layer which is the parent of the “Image.bmp” layer, but I’m just guessing.

If you can share the document then someone should be able to figure out what’s happening.

Thank you for answer.
I'll try to be more precise. There are no Blend mode and additional affects. The problem repeats itself in many files and there are different effects of "incorrect display" of image layers. When the preview on the work table is zoomed out, everything seems ok. However, when I zoom in, the layers start to display incorrectly. Also exported files are incorrect. In the example I attached from the natural pencil sketch effect, ugly pixel outlines appear. In other images, the transparency of the layer is replaced with white. I went back to the previous version and everything is ok, so for sure its something wrong with the update. The problem appeared after updating to the latest version. There are no problems with pixel layers.

Unfortunatelly I can not share with the files because of copyrights.

This looks like one of those problems that could be easy to figure out if we could examine the document, but very difficult to diagnose without it because of the number of possibilities and interactions between layers.

If you are okay sharing the document with Serif (in private) then you can request a dropbox link which you can upload the document to so that a member of staff can look at it.

In the meantime, have you tried removing all of the layers except the “Image.bmp” layer and its parent layer(s)?

If, after doing so, the problem is still extant then that should make the problem easier to diagnose as there are fewer ‘moving parts’.

If, on the other hand, the problem goes away then that might also be useful information which you can use to narrow down the possibilities for where the root of problem might be.

In other words, if you keep removing stuff until the problem goes away then the last thing you removed could have something to do with the problem.

It sounds like it is happening for you with many files. In that case, perhaps you could create a new file that does not have the copyright issues, confirm the problem also exists with that file, and share it publicly?

Does this only happen when you're using .bmp files, or does it also happen with Image layers that are JPG, TIFF, or PNG?
