Rezaca Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Hello, I'm new to Affinity Publisher and I like it. I don't know how to select and edit paragraph or multi-lines of text at the same time in Affinity Publisher on the PDF files imported. When I import PDF file into publisher, I can't select multi-lines at the same time and edit or replace all of them with other bunch of text lines at the same time. I can do it in other simple software like Acrobat pro or Foxit PDF, select multi-lines or whole page and edit options will appears like a box of text. but I can't do that in professional software like Affinity Publisher. It's hard to edit paragraphs or text pages, line by line. It's hard to select and copy/paste text pages, line by line. Is there any way to select and edit multi-lines? Thanks in Advance. Quote
Hangman Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Hi @Rezaca and welcome to the forums, When you import the PDF into Publisher, is Group lines of text into text frames selected in the PDF Import window? If not, tick that, and you should find that the text in your screengrab appears as frame text rather than individual lines of artistic text. Rezaca Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 Wow, Thank You Hangman. Problem Solved. I didn't know I should check "Group lines of text into text frames" option, in the opening window. Now I have fully control over the multi-paragraph and multi-lines of texts. Thanks. Hangman 1 Quote

In my opinion Affinity Publisher has huge advantage Compare to Indesign. You can't import PDF file into Indesign and edit it. But you can import PDF file into Affinity Publisher and edit it and have fully control over it. That's why I liked Affinity Publisher. . . . Now you're here, I wanna ask quietly where is the option or button "Reverse Text Path" or "Reverse Text" inside Affinity Publisher? When I copy/paste Text paragraph into pdf page, all Text lines showing reversed, not words, just lines. I checked everything possible options inside Publisher and searched this forum and Google, I came to "Reverse Text", but I couldn't find such thing. Example, It should be: Line1: Affinity Line2: Publisher Line3: is Line4: good But Text lines showing like this: Line1: good Line2: is Line3: Publisher Line4: Affinity Sorry for my questions, I'm new to Publisher, I'm on stage of learning basics. Thanks. Quote
Hangman Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Hi @Rezaca, Where are you copying the text paragraph from, and is it pasted inside Publisher as a single text frame or as multiple lines of artistic text? If you could upload a screen grab that shows the pasted text and include the Layers panel in the screen grab so we can see what has been pasted, that would be really helpful... Sorry, It was my mistake. I copy/pasted multi-lines of RTL language and lines got reversed. Now I find out Affinity Publisher doesn't support RTL languages. Thanks for your response. Hangman 1 Quote
