I found this by accident in a real project. The same behaviour applies to the current beta 2.6.2.3228. No matter if OpenCL on/off.

2.6.2. beta simplified testfile:

2025-04-14-beta-2.6.2.3228-bug-livefilter-clarity_1-1.afpub

I zoom the workplane in and out with the mouse wheel. As soon as the live filter is applied to the background image, the app shows blurred forground objects (text) when the zoom level exceeds a certain value.

Furthermore, as soon as the the artifacts appear, the CPU usage gets very heavy, up to 100%.

When i turn off the live filter again the viewport error disappears. This behaviour is 100% reproduceable.

--- EDIT ---

My performance settings:

For what it is worth I see the same thing on my Mac. Could even be worse. I don't see this happening with Photo. I also see a reduced spike duration for the CPU while using the Photo Persona of Publisher, still much higher and for much longer than just in Photo.

I am seeing 97% on my Mac.

Here is what I have set on my machine

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
