John Gale Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Although I'm using Page Plus X9, when I choose to save the file as a .pdf it saves it to Designer 2 but I can't open your program form the desktop icon. Publisher works fine. Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Welcome to the Affinity forums, @John Gale. First, if you save as a PDF, you get a PDF. You may have Windows configured to Open PDF files using Designer, but they are not "saved to Designer". That's just the application that Windows will prefer to open them, and you can change that. You may also have Windows File Explorer configured to not show the file extensions, which can make situations like this more confusing. However, Designer should open, obviously. Do you get an error message when trying to start the application from the icon? If so, what message? How did you install the application? Did you use the MSIX installer, or the MSI/EXE installer? If you used the MSIX, then how did you get the desktop icon? You would need to recreate the icon any time you update the application.
