Affinity Designer V2.

Designer seems to remember only one path at a time; If I use the "Place" import tool, the next time I try to export all slices, it'll point me to where I imported an image. It would be great to be able to set a root folder in the export persona, and then have all slices and export operations use that path. Usually, my Affinity Designer projects relate to a single project elsewhere (Unity), so having to manually set the path every once in a while is uneccessary to me.

I work on both Windows and MacOS, and for my workflow I'll want different paths per-platform on top of that. So really, what I am suggesting is for export path to be a per-project, per-platform thing.

Most of this has been suggested/requested before, in various guises, going back to 2017 (maybe earlier), except (I think) for the ‘per-platform’ thing.

You can search the forums for default export path or default export folder to see the existing threads.

Agreed. It’s something that disrupts many workflows in Affinity unnecessarily and takes time and focus away from what really matters - design and deadlines.

Serif, did you foolishly fill the usability specialist role you advertised internally? If so, be transparent with your customers. Continuing without proper UX expertise both insults and affects your entire customer base.
