Hello everyone 🙂.

I'm Spanish, and English isn't my native language, but I'll try to make myself understood.

I've been using all the Affinity applications since version 1. I'm currently working with the latest updates (2.6.2) on macOS Sequoia 15.3.2.

My question: I'm working in Affinity Publisher 2.6.2, laying out a novel. I've set up several sections in the "Section Manager" of the "Pages" panel. I'd like to know if there's a way to make these section names appear in the created PDF as "Bookmarks" (in the Bookmarks tab of Adobe Acrobat) when I export the document to PDF. I've tried the options available in the Affinity Publisher PDF export panel, but there doesn't seem to be an option that does this 🙁.

I'd appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you 🙂.

Thank you both very much, but I was looking to do the same thing (and I think it would be easier --> take note, Serif Labs 😁) using the sections created in the "Section Manager" panel of the "Pages" panel.

I may be wrong, but creating bookmarks from anchors or a table of contents requires using elements from the page itself to create these bookmarks (such as text boxes or images). What I was wondering is if they could be created from the page number (of the page itself), acting in the same way as creating sections in the Section Manager. It's that easy 😁!

I show here my Sections Panel (the interface is in Spanish). What I would like is to quickly convert those sections into PDF bookmarks when exporting in Affinity Publisher 🙂.

Thanks again 🙂.

I would advise against using the Section Manager to make the bookmarks you are wanting. I would use a Table of Contents and check the "Include Bookmarks" box in the Export Dialog.

If however you really need the Section names then you can use the Fields panel to insert the Section name field into the text somewhere, or even have a separate Text Frame to hold it.

The reason I advise against using Sections for Bookmarks is that the Section's page number is always going to be on what ever page you first make it. Sections won't shift pages automatically as we add and remove text and or pages. In your PDF you would have Chapter 1 start on Page 12 but the section is actually starting on Page 10. The bookmark would be for page 10, not page 12.

Far better to use Paragraph Styles and make a Table of Contents and make the Bookmarks for the PDF from the Table of Contents. You can hide the Table of Contents if you so wish, the Bookmarks will still be made.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
