Some regular patterns can be created easily...others may require different techniques. 21 minutes ago, Dimdam said: Also how do you guys create military camo patterns? In AfPhoto, I'd start with a Fill Layer, set to a base color you want (sand, green, yellow-green, whatever). Then, LIVE Procedural Texture > Urban Camouflage. You can tweak the settings of the PT filter to your liking. Try setting the PT to Overlay or Soft Light Blend Modes to start, and experiment with others, while the PT filter is active, so you can see the result. You can always adjust the opacity, blend mode, etc afterwards, and even adjust the color of your fill layer. You can get a similar effect e.g. by manually modyfing the Pressure curve of a stroke: If you use Affinity v2.4.2 or earlier, you can even take advantage of a nasty bug in the Expand Stroke algorithm that will turn an already wild stroke pressure curve into an outburst of weirdness: Have fun… Other than that, I'm patiently waiting since about 10 years if Serif may eventually implement an equivalent of the good ole Roughen effect as known from Ill-Frustrator. I'm not holding my breath in anticipation, however. Ldina Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Here is a link to bunch of sine wave based wave assets I posted in the Resources section of the forum. You can download and import them if desired and use freely for any purpose. A lot can also be done in Photo using Live Procedural Texture filters (not particularly intuitive). Here's an example of some waves generated using a custom PT filter I wrote. You can adjust a lot of parameters to get the wave you want (hopefully). If you want to try it, just copy the formula and all the other settings into a PT filter and experiment.
