marcc
I sent an Affinity file to a subcontractor who is on Windows and asked him to download the Windows beta of Affinity Designer and make changes to the file for me. He did so and sent the file back, but when I try to open it I get this message: "The file version is not supported by this version of Affinity." I'm not sure what might be the problem, any recommendations? Really at this point the problem is that our source file is Affinity, and we need to be able to exchange the/a file with changes made. Staff MEB Posted July 29, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 29, 2016 Hi marcc, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Files created or saved in version 1.5 (on both Windows or Mac) can only be opened in version 1.5 upwards. They are not compatible with previous versions of the program. You have to download and install Affinity Designer 1.5 Beta for Mac to be able to open them. R C-R
As an aside, remember that the beta versions are not intended for production or any other critical work.
