I've looked and can't find a similar topic, may have missed it somewhere.

If I have, sorry but I'm beyond frustraited...

Just spent hours creating a design from a new file.

Tried to save an keep getting this error message:-

"C:\Users\Alex\Documents\untitled.afdesign

File not found.

Check the filename and try again."

It's acting as though I'm trying to load a file!

Tried to create a dummy file, wouldn't over-write it, same error.

Tried to export and get same message. It's currently imopssible to save anything making this software totally useless.

This only happened when I got the latest update. Was using ver 2.5.? before and worked without issue.

I can load existing files but can not save them either.

Have an active licence, that will never expire as I bought the full package.

Designer ver 2.6.2.3228(Retail)

Using Windows 11 Pro Ver 10.0.26100

Update;

When I tried to save over a dummy file, got the following error message:-

"Failed to save document: <Untitled>

Save failed. Changed to the file are not allowed.

[create=1]

Do you with to save the document to a new file?"

Then I'm back to the oiginal issue...

No file name is accepted as it doesn't exist.

Of course it doesn't exist, it's a new file!

Also can someone please tell me how to remove the annoying double line spacing from my posts.

Thanks.

Hi @Alex_P apologies for the late response,

If you're still encountering this error in the latest update, I'd recommend checking Controlled Folder Access in the Windows Security settings, as well as allowing the Affinity apps through any third-party antivirus software, as per the FAQ below.
