influxx Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Am I being particularly dumb today or is this page a bit opaque (pun intended) in terms of showing how to achieve a greyscale channel mask? https://affinity.help/photo2/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Layers/LayerMasks.html&title=Layer masks I have my b/w layer and I want to set that as an alpha channel for another layer. Nothing I'm doing gets me where I want to go and this page from the manual is of no help. Quote Mac OSX Catalina - Affinity Designer | Photo | Publisher - V2.6 Pixel-pusher since 1995. Ldina Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Coming from PS and some other software, masking and alpha in Affinity were mysteries to me for a while. I wrote the following in an attempt to help demystify it. I don't know if it answers your questions or helps, but perhaps it's worth a look.
