How to change one character only throughout the document?

I have created a book. The font is Centaur. However, the number 1 looks like a capital I (i) I want to change this to a 1 throughout the text. I looked at the Glyph bowser and there is no alternative. Any ideas on what I can do to change just this one character?

Text>Find... and select another font in the format list. Find first which font has the best "1".  Select match case; it may take a few tries to set the procedure right.
