FlyingSamson Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I have a A0 pdf document in affinity publisher, and would like to to split it into individual A4 files for printing. The Design on the page is large and has many open areas. So I can print it to a file that is smaller than A4 with option tile (in A4 the printer cannot print the rims) and then print it as an A4. But I cannot puzzle out which tiles belong together. Is there a way to add a border around each tile and a page number or something similar? Thank you I am using Affinity 2.6.0 with Sonoma 14.71 MacOS. Quote
Staff stokerg Posted May 1 Staff Posted May 1 Hi @FlyingSamson, You'd have to manually add a boarder, by marking the area on the PDF with say a rectangle shape or with the Pen Tool. I'm not aware of marking a board directly from the print window. If you were to open the PDF in Affinity Designer (i can see you have a universal licence on your account) you could set up a grid to the needed sizes and create slices in the Export Persona and export each slice to its own file, which you could number using the File Name and then you'd be able to print each file in the needed order. FlyingSamson Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 Hi @stokerg, I am very sorry for the late reply! I noticed your comment just now. Thank you for your suggestion! I ended up using designer to create the grid on a large artboard and then used the print to pdf option for this artboard. So the result was one grid cell per pdf page which is what I wanted. Quote
