Synergist Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I'm working my way through a lot of HDR merges using Photo 2.6.2 on Windows 11. Affinity's HDR/tonemap persona is quite good, but I've come up with some features I think would be very useful: Ability to drag and drop images on to the New HDR Merge 'Open' dialog (at the moment you must click Add and use the OS picker). The dialog appears like it should support dragging and dropping - the cursor icon even changes suggestively when files are dragged over the file display box - but the files are not populated to the box. New HDR Merge modal dialog should remember the options previously selected (e.g. I always toggle off Noise Reduction, but this resets each time) After compositing the HDR and rasterising, the project file should ideally be automatically named with the first and last filenames of the stack to make saving more efficient. While processing a HDR tonemap stack, the preset list on the left always defaults to the "Default" group - again, it would save time if it remembered which preset group was last selected to allow for quick reselection. While in the Tone Mapping Persona, I have been making use of the Tone Map settings. It would be useful if the White Balance adjustment's Temperature slider could be controllable to switch between a relative percentage and the absolute value in Kelvin (and start with the current colour temp from file EXIF), as opposed to a simple relative percentage adjust between -100% to +100%. Batch process workflows for HDR stacks using predefined settings templates would be really useful, ideally with some basic degree of monitoring and processing control. A minor quibble - no hotkey is defined for the HDR Merge option by default; I manually mapped Ctrl+Alt+Shift+M which seemed available. Quote Hello world.
