I have a PNG image file on my computer, 289x288 pixels in size, at 288 DPI. I open it in Photo, make some edits, and export a PNG at 1x in the Export persona. The output file is 96x96 pixels in size. How can I fix this?

The document stays at 289x288 the entire time.

Hi @Saku and welcome to the forums,

You need to select 3x in the export persona rather than 1x when exporting...

I have to say, this functionality is completely baffling. Obtuse, undiscoverable, unexpected. This kind of thing should be opt-in and clearly indicated in the UI.

Serif is so weird – a lot of the UX is brilliant and smooth, but then once in a while there's something completely arcane that defies explanation and sends a user to the forums to hunt for workarounds.

I believe this relates to creating graphics for iOS and Android...
