I am doing a lot of routine work on clipping images while trying to increase efficiency. The following minor change should improve the work flow greatly for people like me.

(1) After you hit 'C' to activate the clipping tool, automatically move the key focus to the Width field for keyboard input to facilitate typing for numbers quickly.

(2) Then, when hitting TAB key in the Width field, the focus would move to the Height field. (Currently it moves the focus to the campus, which can already be done by hitting Enter Key so it is redundant.)

As a programmer, I believe these changes can be implemented only in a couple of minutes and there is no reason not to make it so for smooth work flow. Please take into consideration. Thank you.

However, this is not the first feedback of this kind; I vaguely remember giving feedback on this topic as well, a year or two (or three…) ago.
So we'd have to assume that any such changes are apparently close to rocket science and require likely some quantum chip computing. Or something. Hard to tell… :86_crying_cat_face:

On Mac, I have to hit the Tab key twice to get Height field focus.
Suffice it to say, I often forget to do that.

This is a regression from APh v1 where only one Tab was necessary.

Thank you for the response as I  only searched for recent feedback. As a Japanese programmer,  the behavior of AP2 treating key focus being so indifferent is really disappointing and unbelievable. Why have a forum asking for feedback while ignoring such unequivocal suggestion? Looks like there are many other similar features such as  changing the document or campus size that the application doesn't care what your intention is. An application with common sense would put the key focus in the width field so you don't need to move your mouse cursor to click on it for the first and only thing you would want to do when opening up that dialog every time.  No concern in efficiency? Really?

By the way, since I have an ongoing long term project (private and unpaid, at least not directly) where I'm scanning literally thousands of files that I need to stitch (via Panorama persona) and then crop, just yesterday I have took some time to think about how to make some of the repetitive tasks easier.

Crops can be recorded as a macro, but macros cannot be run by keyboard shortcuts (yet).

So here I have opted for a 3rd party macro instead, using Keyboard Maestro (Mac only).
On a single keyboard shortcut, it will switch to the Crop tool, click the Width field (by coordinates from top left corner of the active window), type "800", press Tab twice, type "800", press Tab once to commit, select View→Zoom→Pixel Size. From there I can manually fine adjust the exact position and rotation of the crop, and commit it.
Works fine so far. :)
