Ability to use Photoshop Styles

I am a registered user of both Designer and Photo and would REALLY love to get rid of Photoshop and Ai, but currently I have hundreds of layer styles in Photoshop that I use constantly - if I could use those styles in either Designer or Photo, that would be excellent. I have imported .psd files with boxes of many of my current styles but very few make it through the import process. Being able to use my existing ".asl" plugins in either of your apps would be great - I know that ".asl" is most probably a proprietary format triple copyrighted by Adobe, but, it is worth asking. I live in hope.

 

If that is not possible, is it possible to source 'style' plugins for either/both of your apps.

Now, he (John Forsythe) may or may not be interested in converting his styles to your format, this of course may not even be possible - just letting you know on the off chance that...

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

This happens because not all Photoshop styles/effects options have an equivalent/corresponding option in Affinity Designer/Photo. There's no feature parity between the two programs, so there's no way to translate the styles intact into Affinity apps. As you may be guessing by now Affinity also doesn't support .asi files.
