BalsallHeathen Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I can’t seem to include a prefix (e.g. the section name) to page numbers in my TOC. My pages are numbered D1:01, D1:02, etc. D1: being the prefix and 01, etc. being the auto page number, My Master Pages are set up with:<section name><#> fields and while the relevant text pages of my document show correctly as D1:01 and so on, my TOC ignores the section name; only showing the page number (01) after the item title, as in Abcdef … … … 01, etc., whereas what I want it to show is Abcdef … … … D1:01, etc. Am I missing something, or is attaching a prefix to the page number for inclusion in the TOC not possible? Being an escapee from the chains of Adobe's InDesign I am used to checking the Include Prefix when Numbering Pages box in the new Section menu to get the desired result and was hoping for something similar. Any help will be gratefully received. Quote
BalsallHeathen Posted April 14 Author Posted April 14 Solved. Found the resolution to my little problem in an answer supplied by MikeTO back in December 2022 (see attached) to a query posted as Page Numbering Options by PilotBob. My sincere thanks you to you both, it was driving me crazy, but especially to MikeTO for the inclusion of the working file, which took all the hard work out of it for me. I have attached MikeTO's answer for anyone else struggling with this problem so you know what to look for in the forum search and can access the file. MikeTO 1 Quote
