affinityuser1976 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Hi, New here. This may sound like a silly question but we just downloaded the trial for Affinity V2 Universal License. I'm not seeing how we can open affinity photo though? Is it opened through affinity designer or something? the trial showed "designer" "publisher" and "photo" so i assume its in there? thanks Quote
Komatös Posted April 9 Posted April 9 If you have registered for the trial version, you should receive a confirmation email, if I remember correctly. This email should contain a link to the downloads. It is not necessary to have all three programmes of the suite installed to test just one of them, but it is necessary if you want to access Affinity Photo functions via Pixel Persona in Affinity Designer, for example. Is it opened through affinity designer or something? No, if you installed the Universal licence, you have effectively installed 3 separate programs (apps) that can all run independently of each other Not sure what OS you have installed them on but on Windows you would have 3 separate entries in the Start menu or 3 separate desktop icons Note: Although you have 3 separate programs, they do have advanced features that allow you to switch seamlessly between them but that is not required if you just want to run one of the programs Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. affinityuser1976 Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 Strange, It only shows affinity designer in my start menu. I installed the app on windows. Totally confused here what is going on? Quote
carl123 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 In the Start menu, start typing... Affinity and see if the other Affinity apps show up If so select them (individually) and add to your Start menu for future use Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. affinityuser1976 Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 see below, only shows affinity designer 2 under apps, the rest is under web Quote
mopperle Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I'm not sure, but AFAIK you have to download and install each product separately. Your first screenshot only points to the universal license that covers all products. Also the product icon in your last screenshot does not look correct. Because of the dogeared corner it looks like a document icon to me.
