Vishal Pundir Posted April 8 Posted April 8 While drawing a stroke on ipad version of affinity photo, the stroke becomes pixellated. when i lift up the pencil off of the screen the stroke becomes high quality again is this a known bug or am i doing something wrong? Quote
NotMyFault Posted April 8 Posted April 8 This is by design. Editing results are rendered in lower resolution first, the in full resolution to achieve snappy UI. On desktop you can set view quality, on iPad it is fixed „auto“. Vishal Pundir Posted April 8 Author Posted April 8 @NotMyFault I used pixel persona in affinity designer ipad app, there it seems to be rendering in full resolution. But thanks for clearing my doubt. Quote

But thanks for clearing my doubt. Rendering in Photo and Designer can use different rendering methods, as designer offers view modes, Photo not (see below). Again, setting only available in Desktop version, you can choose between fast/multi pass rendering or slow/always full quality on iPad. Embedded Designer files are shown in a designer Persona as vector view mode when opened inside the app, and a unfixed bug lets Photo stay in vector view mode. NotMyFault Posted April 8 Posted April 8 My favorite bug in this category is curve adjustments on iPad allowing to set curve nodes to linear. This is missing on desktop. But existing curves can be edited.
