PaulQ Posted April 8 Posted April 8 No one seems to be talking about opening recent files from the Dock. I've found it extremely useful to right-click on the dock icon to see a list of recent documents...whether the app is open or closed/quit. This is my preferred way to launch this kind of app and get right back in to a recent project. This feature works fine in V1 apps, but it does not work in V2. I searched this topic hoping to find a solution to no avail (and I tried all the suggestions in the forums including clearing recents menu and deleting the mru.dat files). Finding and opening recent documents from the menu works for me (all three V2 apps), but I have to launch the app first. Documents opened during the session do appear when right-clicking the dock icon. But once the app is quit, the right-click menu is empty. For example, here is what I see when I right-click on the [closed/quit] Affinity Photo V1 dock icon. Should I submit this as a new/separate topic? (macOS 15.4 / Affinity apps 2.6.2) Quote
Staff MEB Posted April 8 Staff Posted April 8 Hi @PaulQ, Welcome to Affinity Forums This issue is already logged, but there hasn’t been any progress since it was filed. tymcat Posted May 11 Posted May 11 If I try to open any file from inside the program, there's just nothing happening. I had to start any file from the finder. That was until yesterday. I thoroughly tested that yesterday, including restarts, now that I want to report it, it works again! But the recent objects still won't open. Felix Quote
