This one leaves me clueless.

1. Place a .aphoto file in APu as linked.

2. Make the image embedded.

3. Make changes to the .aphoto file and save it to the same place from where it was originally placed (IDK if it is necessary to keep it open in AP).

4. Go to Resource Manager and use "Make Linked...". You'll get the following warning:

unmatchedimages.jpg

5. Click Yes and the changed image will be replaced.

So far, so good. But WHY is the linked image now deleted and missing? As a remnant, a lock file is still in place.

I see the same erroneous behavior. And yes, it is necessary for the file to still be Open in Photo in order to trigger this bug, from my expermentation with 2.6.2. If you Close it from Photo before doing the "Make Linked" the file is properly saved.

Hi @joe_l,

Quite concerning that it's actually deleted the .afphoto file, I've replicated and logged this with the developers, thanks for your report.

During my tests it was necessary to keep the .afphoto file open in Photo to trigger the bug, so it was at least possible to re-save the .afphoto file again.

Thanks, Nathan.

I would have expected that the application would detect the conflict, and refuse to "Make Linked" when the file is open and locked.
