BitBull Ltd Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Hi, The title says it all really. Using these commands also selects objects on locked (and invisible) layers. The latter is probably open for debate but I would have thought selected objects on locked layers is definitely undesired behaviour. I'm on 2.6.2. cheers Quote
carl123 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 There is an option on the "Select same" and "Select object" menu dropdowns to choose if you want Hidden Objects to also be selected in your search criteria Locked objects are always selected Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
BitBull Ltd Posted April 8 Author Posted April 8 Thanks, I didn't see that! So are you saying that the ability to select (and delete) locked objects is intentional behaviour? That seems pretty weird to me. cheers Quote
carl123 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Yes, at this time it is "by design" but how locked layers have been implemented is highly controversial so it may change in the future Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. BitBull Ltd Posted April 8 Author Posted April 8 Good to know, thanks. I'd certainly add my voice to those wanting a more logical implementation (i.e. locked is actually locked)! Quote
