Hi all
I seem to be asking a lot of questions, sorry!  But I am really struggling with this publishing job and I didn't have these issues before the latest update (to V2.6.2)

I cannot get Publisher to end all pages on a consistent baseline. I have selected Align to Baseline Grid. In the Baseline Grid dialog, I checked Use Baseline Grid. I entered Start Position 0, Relative to Top of page, Grid spacing 14 (My body text uses 14pt leading).

I checked Show Baseline Grid.

The text Frame on my Master page Spread ends on the third last Grid line. The last line of text on pages 12 and 13 (the first main spread featuring normal body text - the earlier pages are Title page, copyright, etc). sits neatly on the fourth last grid line (one grid line above the bottom of the text frame). Grid line here is referring to the Baseline Grid, which I have set to red.

All pages up to page 25 have the text ending consistently on the same baseline. I get to page 25, and for some reason the text starts lower on the page and ends below the baseline, and I can't figure out how to fix it. (It looks really bad because p 25 is the right hand side of a spread and page 24 starts and ends higher. But both pages use the same Master Page and the text frames were created using AutoFlow.)

This pattern then continues until page 37, on which the text ends lower still - right at the base of the text frame. From there, all pages use the same baseline as the pages from 25 to 36 until I get to page 49, which uses the same baseline as 37 - ending right at the bottom of the text frame.

Any suggestions as to how I might fix this would be appreciated, because I have now got the document looking really good apart from this problem.

Thank you

Cheers

Check the Frame Text layers on the master page(s) to see, in the Text Frame Panel, if any of them have “Ignore Baseline Grid” switched ON – see attached image. If they do, switch it OFF.

Thank you so much Garry P.  I haven't gone thru the whole document yet, but that does seem to have fixed it. The master for the first page in each chapter had 'Ignore baseline grid' checked, and on the Master pages for the Main Pages 'Use Independent Baseline Grid' was checked. I unchecked both and I think it might have fixed the problem. Fingers crossed!  At a quick glance, it appears to have. You have no idea how frustrated I was feeling, so thank you for easing my stress!
