Cannot find a tutorial on how to (draw/create) a curved arrow headed rule, anyone?

I can draw a path w the path tool and curve it, but how to turn it into a 8pt thick curved rule line with one arrow head?

The path of the arrow needs to be thicker, with no hash marks, BUT YES, this is what I can't figure out how to convert a pen tool path like yours with your arrow head in Affinity Photo 2.

 

additional query: what is the $20 a month I see Affinity is now charging? Why do we need to pay additionally just like (yuk) Photoshop?

Where do you see that? Do you have a screenshot showing a message or some such to that effect?

Not sure whether I understood that correctly. This is how I'd do that.

In the context bar (top) there is the drop down thingy to change the path however you need it.

👍 Thank you so much. You revealed the answer to me. I kept clicking the arrow at right side icon and nothing happened. I have to select from the END selection. What do the two icons for arrowheads accomplish, if I have to select in the left side "END" of the menu? See my screenshot.

Does Affinity provide tutorials for these basic moves anywhere?

These two arrow buttons define whether the tip of the arrow ends exactly where the line ends OR the arrow head is placed on top / additionally to the line.

I'm not aware of any tutorials on this.

FWIW if one hovers the pointer over either button a tooltip pops up explaining what they do.
