Affinity Designer for iPad pixel layer brush bug

When I use any brush tools on a pixel layer, serious glitches appear around the painted line.

It’s way more serious if I use an apple pencil.

From that screenshot, you are using V1, but you've reported this in the V2 Bugs on iPad section of the forum. It should, instead, be reported in the V1 Bugs Found on iPads section, and a moderator will probably move it for you. If you check that forum you will see a number of reports of similar issues, such as AF-406.

In my opinion as a user, these known issues with pixel brushes in the V1 Affinity applications are unlikely to ever be fixed. They have been caused by changes made by Apple to iPadOS after V1 was stabilized and no longer being developed. I think all you can do is upgrade to Affinity V2, or some other application.

Easter is less than two weeks from now. It might be worth waiting a few days to see if any special offers materialize.
