Swoopix Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Why does the help file always reset? And why is it not available from within the app without having to exit the editing process? A user has to quit what they're doing and lose their place/train of thought in the editor AND then try to find where they were last in the help file. Even if it's a memory/storage issue, why isn't there a quick-swap button that swaps between prior placement in help and the existing editing process? At the very least, help should "remember" & re-open the same page/place that was last viewed! (Instead of forcing the user to TRY and retrace steps to get back to where they were last.) Most of the information is good. But the past 2 months I've struggled with help files while learning the depths of Affinity. Under the hood, this program (including the iPad version) is a powerhouse! Help make it easier for dedicated users realize this! Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I cannot answer your question, but assuming you're connected to the network, you might consider using the online Help at https://affinity.help instead of the in-app Help. That's usually what I do. Swoopix Posted April 6 Author Posted April 6 @walt.farrell Hi Walt. Definitely an option! But with or without stage manager (even on a "big" lol iPad) navigating multiple apps is cumbersome given the UI and limited screen real estate. (Especially without a keyboard and mouse connected.) walt.farrell 1 Quote
