This might be a dumb question this is my first time using the software I searched online and on YouTube but I could not seem to find an answer for this. I am trying to fill a rectangle (1250x3750 pixels) as a background pattern with one of the 3 patterns. I am having a hard time separating or picking one to use as a bitmap ( I am not sure if that’s the right terminology to expand and fill the figure with the pattern. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Welcome to the forums @Solidsnake

There’s not a lot we can do with the information and image you have given us.

If you can share the document you are using, and the pattern file(s) you are using (check if you can share in public legally first), and tell us how you want the pattern to look in the document (“fill … as a background pattern” could be interpreted in a number of ways), then someone should be able to advise further.

The image accompanying your post shows four patterns, not three.

It sounds as though you’re trying to find out how to extract part of the sample image and create a seamless tile from it so that you can create a ‘half drop’ wallpaper pattern without having to pay for it! If that’s the case, I don’t think you can reasonably expect anyone here to help you achieve that goal. Perhaps you could find a suitable alternative that you can legitimately download and use for free.

Your title is 'Vectot patterns' but you say that you want to use them as a bitmap. You might be better off looking for tileable bitmaps (as well as vector patterns) in the first place.
