Text frame on top of picture frame - answer found

Can't figure out how to delete this question - found the answer - one of the pictures in the group had 'jump' selected!!!

I'm having trouble putting a text frame on top of a picture frame. 

The text sits fine on top of the group higher on the page, but not of the group below it. As soon as I drag onto the photo, the text disappears...  hope the attached illustrates what I mean. 

I've tried bringing it forward and selecting the pics to send them backwards,.

The pictures, above and below, all have no wrapping selected.

And if I try to pin the groups of pics in place, there are even more issues.....  too many pics on one page, I know.
