To the best of my knowledge the answer is no. The "vector brushes" in Affinity applications are in fact just raster images which get stretched out. Pixel based brushes for use on vectors. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

lacerto Posted April 3 Posted April 3 No. Left: Vector Brush Tool (Affinity Designer); Right: Pattern Brushes (Illustrator): UPDATE: Using a high-resolution .PNG file as an image or intensity brush in Repeat mode allows you to have a repeating pattern: ...but if you seek Illustrator kind of control, and ability to have multiple colored shapes as vectors: ...then no.
