X-Raym Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (edited) Hi, Affinity Photo 2.6.2, Windows Currently we can put positive number in guide line positions, to put guide from left or top depending on the document origin (usually top left). If would be if we could also set lines bottom / right (maybe using negative number, ot just by checking a setting) This would allow to put extra margin arround the document easily, in a way that survive change in project dimensions. (note : currently, guide cannot be put outside of document, but of course negative number would not be the way to solve this if this is something planned) Thx! NotMyFault Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Using the move tool allows to move the canvas point of origin into any position, including lower right corner. X-Raym Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 @NotMyFaultThis will not be good enough. The keyword here are "relative" (aka, it will survive project dimension changes, at it will not be positionned in absolute) and "per guide" (changing origin is a global setting). This make me realize that negative numbers may not be the way to implement this as origin can change. So the checkbox solution is better. Alernatively, may the request should be "multiple origins points and relative positining for guide". Best, Quote
NotMyFault Posted April 5 Posted April 5 To be honest, I don’t fully understand your request and how you intend to use this. some screenshots with the current state and a mockup of the state you desire would help. We already have multiple ways to define spreads and pages with margins, or use columns (one only) and define a gap which could provide what you want. in publisher you can add a rectangular shape on master page, and make in nonvisible for export (deactivate, or use no fill/stroke In Designer or Photo the Export Persona allows to mark layers non-exportable.
